Have You Been Washed in the Blood?

For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured a thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2).

I am taking time out to ask you a personal and most important question. Have you put your trust in Jesus Christ asking him to redeem you? Being born into a Christian/Catholic family, being born in a Christian nation, doing good works, saying the Rosary, going to church, confessing to a priest – none of those things will merit salvation.

Every human ever born was born with a sinful nature in unrighteousness. No matter how good we live it will never be good enough to earn God’s forgiveness. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God Romans (3:23). They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one (Romans 3:12).

Our way is the way of death but it doesn’t have to end that way. The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (6:23). Yet, many (do you) enjoy their on ways and are in no need of God or salvation. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil (John 3:17-19).

This is the most important question you will ever be asked and answer. What have you done with Jesus Christ? Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Have you called on Him to save you? If not, will you? You are not guaranteed tomorrow. Now, today is the only time you have for sure. Don’t wait too late.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Romans 10:9).

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Christ is waiting.

Are You Washed in the Blood is a well-known Christian hymn written in 1878 by Elisha Hoffman.

Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Are you washed in the blood?
In the soul cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Are your garments spotless, are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Are you walking daily by the Savior’s side?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Do you rest each moment in the crucified?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Are your garments spotless, are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
